While all skill based volunteer opportunities require skill, some projects require specific expertise, credentials, or certifications that may not be readily available in the general population. Our Community Service Time(CST) program is also an opportunity for nonprofit organizations to leverage the professional competencies of the Associates at Hypertherm Associates through “skills-based volunteering” (SBV).
Examples include:
- Application of Lean process methodologies to organize various layouts
- Use of talent acquisition professionals for interviewing and job description assistance
- Mentorship by an engineer for a robotics team
- Audit committee participation by a finance professional
- Strategic or operating planning assistance by leaders
- Marketing collateral creation and operational efficiency studies, etc.
