Our close proximity to Dartmouth College provides a conduit for collaboration. We are fortunate to enjoy a strong relationship with the Albert Schweitzer fellowship program, the Thayer School of Engineering, and the Tuck School of Business. In addition, Hypertherm Associates regularly works with other colleges and universities to support graduate and undergraduate research efforts, including past engagements with the University of Minnesota and Penn State University to name a few. In all cases our Associates lend their subject matter expertise as we engage with these budding experts.
Through the Hypertherm Technical Training Institute(HTTI), our 8-week paid machine operator training program, we offer internships, job shadows and teacher training to students in this age group.

Highlights
Hypertherm Associates challenged a group of Boston University undergraduate engineers to develop a beneficial use for an end-of-life Powermax® plasma system. The team developed a way to re-use several of the components in a home-made autoclave that could be used for sterilization in low resource communities.
