From the inside out A-I-T ensures you get an intensifier pump that:
01
The advanced design minimizes seal wear and improves component life. With A-I-T you'll get an average of twelve thousand hours between center section servicing compared to two thousand hours.
02
On each side of the piston is a more efficient and more rugged one-inch ceramic plunger that produces more water per stroke with significantly less seal wearing friction. It's not about the longest stroke, it's about the right stroke. And having the right stroke makes all the difference – especially when it comes to smooth shifting. When a stroke is too short it creates excessive fatigue. Too long and you get hydraulic displacement spikes. But when your stroke is dialed in you get optimal stroke utilization and superior reliability.
03
The bearings are significantly heftier than you'll find on non-A-I-T intensifier pumps. The longer design results in longer plunger engagement which improves plunger alignment. Longer sleeve, greater accuracy.
04
The bearings are a lot easier to access, thanks to the design of the seal housing.
05
Most other systems use threaded cylinders and these are fraught with problems and issues. Threads create a fatigue point in the cylinder, and are often prone to cracking. Threads can also become misaligned, stuck and stripped, turning routine servicing into a very costly repair.
06
By incorporating threaded rods into the high-pressure end design, you get easier access with fewer chances for mistakes. Hypertherm developed a tie rod system that creates no fatigue points in the cylinder and consistent preload pressure that won’t waver between servicing.
07
Even the check valves offer advancements. The screw-less low-pressure poppet design is faster to replace, but more importantly, enables quick and nearly automatic evaluation of key contact surfaces. Removing the seals exposes the check valve. If the mirrored finish is blemished you can easily address it to maintain smooth operation without failure. And regular check valve maintenance won’t require a single drop of thread adhesive, so there's zero lost production time waiting for it to cure.
