Hanover, N.H.—July 24, 2026— Hypertherm, Inc. is notifying individuals of a data security incident.
Hypertherm and many other organizations use Oracle’s E-Business Suite (“EBS”) software to help manage their operations. An unauthorized actor leveraged a previously unknown vulnerability in Oracle EBS to take information from numerous organizations’ Oracle EBS applications. Hypertherm was one of those organizations.
Upon becoming aware of the incident, Hypertherm immediately implemented its response procedures, took measures to secure its implementation of Oracle EBS by applying the patch provided by Oracle, and launched an investigation with the support of third-party cybersecurity professionals. This situation was caused by a universal error in Oracle’s development and could not have been prevented by Hypertherm alone.
The evidence showed that the unauthorized actor obtained copies of tables from Hypertherm’s Oracle EBS database in August 2025. Hypertherm reviewed the tables and determined that one or more contained the name and one or more of the following for certain individuals: taxpayer identification number, financial account number, and/or payment card number.
This incident did not involve all current and former Hypertherm employees, customers, or suppliers, but only those whose information was included in the tables involved. Hypertherm issued written notifications by mail to the individuals identified in the tables.

For individuals whose information was involved in the incident, Hypertherm recommends that they remain vigilant by regularly reviewing their credit reports and financial account statements for any unauthorized activity. They should contact the relevant financial institution immediately regarding any charges or activity they did not authorize.
